Preventing Seasonal Flu: Get Vaccinated
As a part of our commitment to community wellness, we offer flu
vaccinations at public and workplace clinics throughout Omaha, Council
Bluffs and the surrounding communities. Each year, we provide more than
15,000 flu vaccinations to persons 6 months of age and older.
The single best way to prevent the flu is to get a flu vaccination each year.
“Protect your family” by assuring everyone is immunized. Practicing the
following measures can help stop the spread of germs, and play a crucial
role in keeping your family healthy:
•
Cover noses and mouths when sneezing or coughing
•
Washing hands thoroughly and often
•
Getting enough sleep
•
Maintaining a nutritious diet
•
Exercising can also play a crucial role in staying healthy
Who Should Get Vaccinated?
This year, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that all
individuals 6 months of age and older receive a seasonal flu vaccination.
