November 02, 2016 at 4:35 PM

OMAHA, Neb. – Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) received the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Integrity Award at an award ceremony at the Embassy Suites Omaha–La Vista Conference Center on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. These Awards focus on demonstrated ethical business practices with key stakeholders including customers, employees and community at large, rather than a company’s growth, profitability or popularity. The Integrity Award Winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges consisting of metro Omaha business leaders and members of the academic community.

“BBB’s Integrity Award Winners have shown that ethics and integrity are core values of their organization,” stated Jim Hegarty, president and chief executive officer, of Better Business Bureau, Inc. serving Nebraska, South Dakota, The Kansas Plains and Southwest Iowa. “The 2016 BBB Integrity Award Winners join an elite group of organizations that realize dealing fairly and honestly with employees, customers and partners are central to profitability and growth. They serve as role models for all businesses in Omaha, and the Better Business Bureau Foundation is pleased to honor them with this prestigious award.”

For the past 120 years, VNA has been relied upon to address the health issues of the day in the metro Omaha area. Their compassionate team of healthcare professionals are dedicated to providing expert care to individuals at home and across the community. From in-home Companion Care, skilled nursing, hospice and palliative care, to community health services such as shelter nursing, family services, flu and immunization services and more, VNA is the preferred choice for in-home care and the best resource for community care.

“On behalf of the VNA board of directors, I want to congratulate VNA on this prestigious honor,” said Neil Fortkamp, Chair, VNA Board of Directors. “VNA provides high quality and compassionate care to its clients – no matter their age, stage in life or available resources. Thank you to the BBB for recognizing the good work of this excellent organization.”
